Nature Rising
A living landmark in the heart of the Wharf.
In 2024 Canary Wharf unveiled Eden Dock – a first-of-its-kind, urban oasis in the heart of the Wharf created in partnership with the Eden Project. The aim of the project was to enhance biodiversity, reconnect people with nature and contribute to the wellbeing of workers and visitors in this iconic financial district.
To bring the campaign to life, Canary Wharf required a striking, eco-friendly installation to mark the grand opening. Working closely with the structural engineers and topiary specialist, ‘Nature Rising’ was born.

Using sphagnum moss and dried flowers, 21 larger-than-life figures were designed to rise naturally from the water and greenery at Eden Dock. Each figure symbolised the interplay of nature and urban living, embodying the project’s ethos of biodiversity and ecological balance, whilst establishing how art and nature can work together in harmony.
